Basar Girit

Founding Partner

Basar is a founding partner at SITU. He is the director of the architectural design division and provides strategic leadership for the fabrication division for which he was the founding director for much of SITU’s history. He has overseen most of SITU’s architectural projects including the Graycliff Visitor Center, Google Humboldt Campus, Turnout NYC, and many others. His expertise in design, digital fabrication and engineering has been foundational to SITU’s development as a multifaceted practice.

Basar holds a Bachelor of Architecture from The Cooper Union. He has taught at Pratt Institute and has lectured at many architecture schools across the country.
