For this Manhattan office, we worked with architects Civilian Projects to fabricate various custom millwork elements that enhance functionality and aesthetics throughout the workspace.
With a combination of in-house and outsourced components, we tailored features that seamlessly integrate with the client's office layout and kept to the project budget.
The key elements we created were a stone-clad reception desk, banquettes, collaboration tables, and acoustic-felt desk dividers—all made from high-quality ash plywood and hardwood. The choice of materials and finishes was a collaborative effort, ensuring each component harmonized with other design elements, including the stone accents throughout the office that were sourced and installed by the client.
The process began with an intensive design phase, in which we worked closely with the client and Civilian Projects to refine their vision. The workflow included creating detailed shop drawings followed by fabrication and a carefully coordinated installation process.
Throughout the project, we emphasized a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship. Each custom milled tabletop and wood-lapped joint reflects our dedication to durability, transforming standard office components into refined architectural features.
The millwork we provided for the client's new office is more than practical installations; it exemplifies our expertise in translating design intent into tangible elements, paving the way for a workspace that is as inviting as it is functional.
