SITU Fabrication joins panel on computation in technical design and digital fabrication

January 21st 2021

Is there room for computation in other phases of a project’s life cycle beyond the early design phases? Oftentimes, the breadth of potential computational design applications leaves practitioners in the AEC industry confused and paralyzed. If it’s applied, it is often only in the early design phases. Is there room for computation in other phases of a project’s life cycle?

SITU Fabrication’s Associate Project Manager Molly Chen joins AIA Detroit’s co.de.D group to explore these questions, examining the application of computational methodologies in technical design and digital fabrication. Other panel speakers include Gustav Fagerström (Digital Practice Leader, Walter P Moore) and Karl Daubmann (Dean, LTU College of Architecture and Design).
