SITU design selected as part of plan library for NYC’s ADU initiative, ADU For You

March 18th 2026

SITU’s design for an Ancillary Dwelling Unit (ADU) was recently selected for New York City’s new ADU for You platform. The NYC Mayor’s Office along with the DOB, HPD, WXY Architects, Habitat for Humanity, and KM Associates launched the website to provide guidance and tools for homeowners to navigate the process of building an ADU on their property. One component of the platform is an online library of ADU designs that have been pre-approved by the Department of Buildings in order to speed up the plan review process. SITU’s contribution, designed with the support from WikiHouse, One Hermitage, and Collectif MEP, is part of the first set of what is envisioned to be an ever expanding public resource.
