Partner Brad Samuels presents SITU’s interdisciplinary work at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Architecture

On February 11, Director of Research Brad Samuels presents a lecture titled “UNDISCIPLINED” at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Architecture. The lecture explores the work of SITU’s Research division, highlighting a range of recent projects in Ukraine, Mali, Nicaragua, the U.S. and elsewhere. These projects underline the expanded relevancy of the architectural toolkit within the context of a highly interdisciplinary model of practice—and a rapidly changing world. The work also provides a launching point to reflect on the spatial and societal implications of automation and machine learning technologies across a range of scales and contexts. The event is featured as an Alan H. Rider Distinguished Lecture within the school’s Spring 2019 Lecture Series, and is co-sponsored by CMU’s Center for Human Rights Science.
