Renovation and Restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright's Graycliff Conservancy Visitor Center Moves Forward, Design by SITU

June 14th 2024

We are excited to announce that the renovation and expansion of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Graycliff Conservancy Visitor Center is moving forward, with expected completion in 2026, when Graycliff will also celebrate its 100th anniversary.

Our design for the new Visitor Center seeks to augment the original Wright and Shipman vision with a contemporary approach guided by programmatic flexibility and environmental sustainability. The highly adaptable architecture is deeply integrated into the landscape in order to stimulate opportunities for indoor and outdoor programming. We are confident that the Visitor Center will continue to allow for Graycliff to be a vibrant cultural destination in the region for decades to come.

The larger project includes the restoration of Graycliff’s gardens and grounds, alongside the construction of a new visitor center designed by SITU. This center will offer immersive exhibits and educational programming about the estate's history and Wright's architecture.
