Senior Project Manager Daniel Nissimov discusses sustainable fabrication at Facades+ conference

April 5th 2019

SITU Fabrication is invited to present at the Facades+ NYC conference, as part of a 4-hour workshop on Sustainable Building with Modified Wood.

Drawing on our experience with Accoya—a newly available lumber which we used to complete the lobby and canopy renovation of Helena 57 West—we’re sharing some of our techniques for fabricating sustainable exteriors using solid wood. Senior Project Manager Daniel Nissimov is presenting, alongside the design firm Studio V Architecture and other material innovators, reSAWN and Accsys Group.

Attendees will learn how sustainably enhanced and renewable lumber can match the performance of rare and slow-growing hardwoods, treated lumber or non-renewable cladding like plastics and concrete. This workshop offers attendees up to 4 AIA HSW CEUs.
