Untitled (Silver), Teresita Fernández
Working with the artist Teresita Fernández, we helped develop and fabricate her untitled, silver sculpture.
Measuring 14 ft by 10 ft, the artwork consists of two layers of CNC-perforated, mirror-finish aluminum composite, separated by 4 in standoffs and suspended from above by thin aircraft cables.
Through a series of material studies and mockups, we worked with Fernández to engineer the structural components and obscure the seams between panels with the perforation pattern.
